Crowdsourced Kenosha, a 5-month long creative program, held a kickoff event on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Fusion, 5014 Seventh Avenue, where presenters shared information and videos of the activities taking place under the Crowdsourced Kenosha banner, including film screenings, book clubs, arts and crafts events, a Weird Old America presentation on Vampires in America, and more, including Crowdsourced Cinema, your opportunity to work either or both behind-the-scenes and in front of the camera to remake the 1921/22 horror classic, Nosferatu. The Hub, a digital media lab, made possible through a partnership between Kenosha Community Media and Kenosha Public Library will open to the public in June 2018. Crowdsourced Kenosha is a creative community project of Kenosha Community Media, Inc. (KCM) and the Kenosha Public Library in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Its built on a model from Northampton Community Television (NCTV), and its primary objective is to engage the public to re-make a famous film, the 1921 horror classic, Nosferatu. The public serves as producer, director, camera operator, talent, costume and set designer, and in other roles,
Crowdsourced Kenosha is a free,inclusive venture. Kids, teens, and grownups may participate. No experience required. You don't even need to be human. Puppets and animated Legos may join in the fun. Participants may work by themselves, using their own cameras and other equipment, or they may join Crowdsourced Camp, a free training and production experience, taking place from June 16 through August 31, 2018.

The Kenosha Public Library and Kenosha Community Media have been working together to bring a digital media lab aka The Hub to the public at the Southwest Branch of the Library, 7979 38th Avenue. The site is expected to open this summer. It will provide a video production studio with HD cameras and green screen technology, a control room with switcher and audio board, and a computer lab room with iMac computers, outfitted with Adobe Creative Cloud software for use in video and audio editing, graphic design, web design, manuscript layout, and more. Kenosha Community Media thanks HuHot Mongolian Grill for its generosity. HuHot in Kenosha, WI provided a generous donation to KCM in November, setting aside a percentage of their sales from November 16, 2017 to benefit KCM.
On December 2, 2017, Christmas joy filled the Kenosha Dream Playground as Christmas carols were sung and the spirit of Christmas was found in the generous hearts of those who provided contributions to the Shalom Center. Can we build a better Kenosha? Yes, we can!
Each December, the Kenosha Symphony Orchestra serenades its audience with many popular holiday favorites. For 2017, the Symphony invites everyone on Saturday, December 9th at 2:30pm to visit Reuther Auditorium, 58th Street and Sheridan Road. where they will be joined by the Kenosha Chamber Choir for its Holiday Concert. This concert is generously presented to the community by Snap-on Incorporated.
