Congratulations to Dean Romano, who was elected President to the Board of Directors of Kenosha Community Media on January 17, 2017. Dean is active in environmental conservation, serving as volunteer to Kenosha Sports Fishing Conservation, Conservation of Congress, and the Climate Reality Project. For many years, he has produced and hosted the local television series, Outdoor Wild. He is joined in 2017 on the Board by Lin Swartz-Truesdell, Vice-President, Nancy Mathews, Secretary, and Richard Schmerling, Treasurer, along with Darlene Duncan and John Bloner, Jr. (ex-officio member). Thank you to all of them and our staff, Jason Rimkus and Ralph Piro, who work to provide video production training, facilitation of use of our Kenosha Media Center, and video programming for the greater Kenosha area.
Kenosha Community Media is thankful for the support provided by the City of Kenosha, Time Warner Cable/Spectrum, our hard-working, talented volunteers and producers, our sponsors and donors, our Board members, Wisconsin Community Media, Alliance for Community Media, and the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce, and many thanks to our staff, Jason Rimkus and Ralph Piro, whose commitment, talent, and community spirit are indispensable as we embark on a New Year of building a better community through media.
After 15 years of service to the Board of Directors, Carole Moresi stepped down from her role on December 20, 2016 at the Board's final meeting of the year. In her long tenure, Carole had stepped up many times to raise funds and awareness of our organization. She was tireless in championing KCM to fellow nonprofits, business leaders, and the general public. She worked in front of and behind the camera. She was meticulous in her work, ensuring that KCM always presented a professional image and service to the community. Thank you, Carole!
